Triangles WK3

In order to piece the rows I needed some layout. I started at the top. I didn't like it. So I start in the middle

and didn't like it. Another try looked better. Random placement was too much for me to handle so I made up few triangles and this is it!

There are still few pieces random but there are mostly triangles. I have added one more row as I wasn't happy with that bottom line. That means I need to cut few more triangles.

The Sassy Quilter

So far I pieced 5 rows so I'm happy to keep up with the QAL. Once I piece all the row I probably put it together since I have another project on the other side of that batting (designer's wall). I just flipped it over, lol.

  9. I always love the way you arrange the colors and the blocks. I like how this quilt develops. Now I also have to start my triangle quilt. It is so interesting that the triangles make a design and are not just random.

  11. Where would we be without design walls?! Whether it's a sheet of batting (yours) or a sheet of insulation covered with an old sheet (mine), they're definitely worthwhile for anyone trying to get just the right layout for a project! I like the addition of the 4-triangle-triangles - I think they go well with the other smaller triangles, and give the eye something to rest on :)

  15. Věrko, krásné, tu stěnu ti závidím. To je úplný pohled na to hraní než, když je to na zemi. Bude to moc pěkné. Máš na to oko.

  19. I also have issues with "random placement". I do love the final layout. You have such a great eye for colour. I've never thought about turning my design wall.......thanks for the tip.
