Q2 - Pantone challenge mini

As you probably noticed I decided to join the 2015 Pantone Quilt Challenge.

2015 Pantone Quilt Challenge: Marsala

I finished the quilting this afternoon. I kept it simple. Just a few lines and little play in one center hexagon.

I ran out of day light, watched movie and fell asleep but there are still few hours left to link up.

I made a cushion cover. Something useful and pretty.

I kept the back side extra simple.

I actually put this on my Q2 FAL list so it's time to tick it off. Yay!
Since it is still Friday I'll link up with Finish it up Friday and others:

Plan B

I was excited to piece the Triad Interlock but it didn't go as I planned.

I worked with triangles before but those ones with straight lines were the problem. To make the lines continuous the edges were off and I couldn't figure out how to make it right.

The pattern works in rows but I couldn't see the way to make the lines align.

So I took it apart and went with Plan B.

Not as pretty but doable.

The rows went together pretty quickly.

It is a bit wonky but all right. I added the corners and I'm all set to quilt it.

I don't see mini as the hexagons are pretty large but I see new cushion right there.

Marsala scraps

I have a problem with procrastinating and few other things but I have started my project for Pantone Challenge 2015. I wanted to do Triad Interlock for a while. Yes, that is what are these called. Not my original idea at all.

Here is another shot with flash on. Not bad BUT I had to rearrange it. There might be a bit of OCD in me.

That is better! I'm not sure what the final size will be or if I make the deadline. The triangles I'm playing with are nearly 5" at this stage.

Last shot with a flash on. The best thing is I'm using mostly scraps given by my friend.
Are you making some scrappy project yourself? Join in the linky parties!

Le Challenge - Tradition

It became tradition to take a part in Le Challenge. How is that for theme? Did I pass? :)

As usual I made quick last minute project. This time I recycled fabric pictures. These used to hang in the girl's room. I just added eye.

Just to make it clear. I made those pictures. Painted the frames and all that :)

They have been in a drawer for a while so I'm glad I finally used it.

Here is little recap. I was curious myself. I learned about Le Challenge when my pouch matched the theme Maritime and Alli suggested in comments I take a part in it. She left a link and I'm glad she did. My score is 16/21 :)

Sunday Stash - PPM edition

I haven't bought any fabrics for a while but I went to Prague's Patchwork Meeting yesterday and I had to buy some.
I wanted to get inch ruler and a bit of colors that I'm lacking.

Surprisingly I got some yellow as I almost have none.

Plus the whole colorful spectrum in some square packs by Makower.

I also got some local no name, no brand greys. I like these the most for background.

It was my 3rd time going to the meeting.
You can read about last year experience here. I'll share some photos soon.
