ALYoF - final party

I know I said I won't do any recap posts but hey it's ALYoF finale party time! It pretty much sums up my year as well.

January - two lunch bags

February - Lone Star top
March - failure

April - Triangle quilt
May - failure

June - Mini Disco top, my link up post is here

July - Ikea ZOO quilt

August - Ballerina's quilt, my link up post is here
September - failure

October - Paint Drips quilt
November - failure

December - Christmas ball
That makes it 8/12. I'm feeling pretty successful :) which brings high hopes for 2015. Will you be joining in? It's time to choose January goal already.

Plus this morning I managed to make those #blocks. I'm thankful for comments and good advice offered. I looked up scant seams and found this easy tutorial and it worked! All I had to do was reposition my needle to the right.

As I upcycle envelopes I needed to hide previous address on it. My girls had the best sticker which suits perfectly. I asked them, do not worry ;) I'm ready to drop it off the post office tomorrow.

October hopes

September wasn't really my month but look what's in store for October! I'm so excited about this quilt top. I picked it up today from quilting service. My friend done a fab job on it and I love it! She does quilt for others and uses short arm. Every time I visit her and chat over coffee it's like recharging my batteries. She is my quilting guru for sure.

I'm making this my October goal. I missed my September goal which was to finish Christmas cushion. I have only managed to quilt the back side of it.

Pebbles in my interpretation looks like rocks! Yeah sure, that was my intention, lol.

I definitely need to practice MORE. Once I hang this quilt on wall I'll have it as motivation to improve myself.

Take this as September round up since that's all I achieved. The credit of quilting goes to my friend Monika. Plus we have collected 112kg of horse chestnuts so far. These are collected by school and huntsman will feed the deer in winter with them.

I have also tagged Janeen @ Quilt Art Designs. She'll be posting next week but you can check out and download free paper pieced pattern as part of her BOM called In the Garden.

Piggy and July round up

I squeezed in some Christmas sewing. The kids are getting piggy bank pouches. I linked those up for Ho Ho Ho and On We Sew blog hop. Let's do something in August as well.

Few days ago I saw felt piggy bank tutorial over at Sew Can She and I couldn't get it out of my head. I just had to make them. I enlarged the pattern using Word and since my printer is not working, I copied right from the screen. Here is pic to show you the size. Pattern is placed on standard size copy paper. The zippers are 10cm long.

It is really an easy and quick project so what are you waiting for? Make one yourself.

Is July worth to do round up?
It went really fast and besides having fun on trampoline I managed to finish 2 things from my Q3 list. There is space for improvement, lol.

Demons pin board.
Ikea ZOO quilt.
