Minis
There were many things I wanted to do in May. Well it's June already and my blog is changing from Negligent into Neglected. Oh dear I don't even know how to pronounce either one :)
I loved the pictures of color blocks on IG so I went to play with my minis I made for #MMminimini challenge. Do you consider grey as color? Or grey doesn't count?
In case you are wondering I used that LOVE motif again. I can't help it. Credits to Jason Mraz :)
Can you spot few differences? It was fun. I like this type of photos.
But I also love the texture on our water well.
These were made with scraps and leftovers from my recent projects. My fav grey background.
I have also quilted my cushion top which features some scraps of quilt I'm yet to share in full. Bad Vera!
Note to self. Use some pins next time around! I created some lovely puckers on the back.
Do not worry my friends, I'm well just a little neglected :)

OMG May
Yesterday I finished my OMG April goal and this pile is what's left. Am I going to throw it away or make something out of it? Well, I decided to make some bears. 4 to be precise and since it's May the 1st I'm making it my OMG goal.
I'll use the remaining batting to stuff them. With no time I had nice two piles. I prepared the pieces based on the pattern size.
I even put it inside paper box. I'm feeling so very organized right now :)
What else is on my table? Pile of green scraps and cushion cover in progress (with no progress).
I haven't blogged much in April but it was a good month. There are few things I haven't shared yet. I went to local quilt show. I had birthday and my friend finished quilting Mini Disco quilt. All those made me really happy so my horoscope did not lie after all.

OMG finished
Beleive it or not I have completed my OMG April goal! Yay!
Here is little tip for you. I add my binding on prior squaring the quilt. The backing is stretchy and it is much easier to work with it this way.
Yeah right, I don't really square my quilts. Once you have some pattern and border I rather go by visual appearance than perfectly square quilt.
See no puckers. I quilted some parts by hand. Only two layers - top and batting plus simple echo pattern quilting with zigzag stitch once backing added.
Plus the material is kind of messy once you cut into it. That's why I left it to the very end.
I used zigzag stich on binding as well. It deserves some extra photo shoot so stay tuned for more pics of the whole quilt :)

Le Challenge - fine
Let's try something new for Le Challenge. The theme is FINE.
I bought new bracelet and I thought I could make some too. I used leather scraps. I consider leather as a fine material.
It's pretty easy. I made two because I like to make two at the time. I can either give it to someone or wear them separately or both at the same time. We'll see.
I used baby press buttons as closure
The color of leather I used matches with my new hair. Coincidence? Not really :)
There is fine line between genius and insanity.

2016 - Q2 FAL list
I'm taking different approach this time around. Instead of making my Q2 FAL list crazy long I only kept those projects with progress made.
My Q1 score is 2/10
Surprise surprise there are only rainbow projects on my list.
#1 Disco quilt - my friend loaded it onto her long arm. We have change things up and I'm so excited about it. I hope to share all details soon.
#2 DM quilt - note to self. FINISH that thing! :) So snugly even with the pins on.
#3 cushion - I need a cushion to go with the quilt right? Yeah, exactly!
