The 100 day project - part 2

This week I made this trio.

I started with little pouch which I made out of leftovers.

It is classic open wide pouch with added handle.

I make these pouches out of one piece so there is no seam at the bottom.

The lining is also out of one piece.

Second pouch I made this week is out of Echino scraps and selvadges.

I didn't feel like making zipper end so I just folded the end of zipper and added D ring.

I just love the look of Echino fabrics :)

It might not look like but it is also just one piece.

And no seam at the bottom ;)

I also made these tiny covers. They are designed for 1 coin which some stores use for shopping carts. I made mine to carry my earings. Due to morning rush I sometimes forget earings and it bothers me later during the day so now I'll carry extra pair just in case. That's it :)

2018 FAL Q2 list

I don't want to miss the opportunity to join in for Q2 so I made up my list. Two projects from previous quarter plus a new challenge which I named for myself as "save the basket"

- love wall hanging is all quilted and the binding is also ready

- there was no progress on Echino bag but I really need a new bag :)

That is the basket I'm going to save :) Laundry basket which is filled with clothes to be repaired and some UFOs as well.

- animal wall hanging, some of you might remember this project which I started a long time ago. I do have the back side as well and the batting ready. I just need to take next step baste+quilt it.

- optical illusion, project I made as part of Pantone challenge

- bears, there is also a box filled with leftovers to be used. The plan was to make some bears out of it.

I decided to keep a track of all quarters this year. Those crossed off projects look so good :D and any progress is good!

The 100 day project - part 1

This month I found new project to follow. It's on IG and it is called #the100dayproject

I haven't heard about it before. I made very quick decision to join in. It's up to you what you choose to do for 100 days. I have drawers filled with partially finished projects or bits and pieces awaiting to be used. So every day I pull out something and work on it for a while. It is challenging since I usually do it later in the evening but I have some finishes already.

This mat or mug rug was quilted and just waited to be bound.

Done.

I found block made from leftovers and turned it into pouch.

Pink birds used to be framed as decoration for girls room. I paired it with dots fabric and it became pouch as well.

My latest project is sewed up from selvages. Cutlery pouch for my colleague! As usual I used long zipper to create handle. So far so good.

Q1 - vinyl pouches

I was putting these precut pouches off since I was lazy to change my needle and thread. Finally I pull them out and finished them.

My rainbow line is now complete. I started those since the first batch of pouches were scrappy and had different sizes as well. Anyway I made too many and wanted to keep them so I added another rod into my space.

I don't think I'll be making any more of these. Not all of them are filled. I'll be working on filling them up next :)

These are part of my FAL list and my current score is 4/6 and I'm hoping to squeeze another finish or two in :))
