OMG - 02 finished

As usual I completed my goal on the very last date with just a few spare hours left. February 29th which means extra day this year :)

The size of the cushion is 16".

The back side is simple. Just a hidden zipper. The newspaper print is a local fabric which have no name and I'll run out of it soon.

The quilting is simple too. Just a few straight lines.

I completed it just before the sun went down. As side project I had 9 small heart blocks which will end up as cushion No.2 and probably as my March goal.

Echino

Never heard of Echino fabric? It's the most beautiful fabric for bag making. Thanks to google I can provide full definition: Echino is the range of fabrics by Etsuko Furuya for Kokka Japan. Fresh, funky and slightly retro designs. Many of these fabrics are a cotton linen mix of a medium to heavyweight and are ideal for craft projects, bags, cushions etc.

I love the colours, prints and texture.

My husband brought me this fabric in two colourways directly from Japan but it's available in many fabric shops all over the world.

During January I made these simple pocket like pouches plus this little one from cutting leftovers.

I have few more prints and I love them all. I will be making new bag soon since the one I previously made is worn out from the daily use.

OMG - 02

OMG, it's already February 7th and there are only few hours left to link up our goal - one monthly goal. I'll go with this heart block which I would like to turn into cushion.

As a side project I'll be working on more hearts. You know, February :) I tested this small heart block and I want to make 9 of them and turn them also into cushion. If I don't suceed it might be my March goal. We'll see.
