I know I said I won't do any recap posts but hey it's ALYoF finale party time! It pretty much sums up my year as well.
January - two lunch bags
February - Lone Star top
March - failure
April - Triangle quilt
May - failure
June - Mini Disco top, my link up post is here
July - Ikea ZOO quilt
August - Ballerina's quilt, my link up post is here
September - failure
October - Paint Drips quilt
November - failure
December - Christmas ball
That makes it 8/12. I'm feeling pretty successful :) which brings high hopes for 2015. Will you be joining in? It's time to choose January goal already.
Plus this morning I managed to make those #blocks. I'm thankful for comments and good advice offered. I looked up scant seams and found this easy tutorial and it worked! All I had to do was reposition my needle to the right.
As I upcycle envelopes I needed to hide previous address on it. My girls had the best sticker which suits perfectly. I asked them, do not worry ;) I'm ready to drop it off the post office tomorrow.
Linking up with Finish it up Friday
Wow, congrats on 8 out of 12! This accountability really works. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to see all these beautiful quilts again.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up, Vera. Your finishes in 2014 were wonderful, and I love the upcycling on the envelope for the Hashtag Blocks - I think Molli will love it. ;)
ReplyDeleteWow! And such beautiful finishes!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Germany, Rike
How did I miss your Lone Star quilt??? OMG, I'm in LOVE - what an absolutely awesome quilt! OK, I'll stop gushing but seriously, it has major pizazz :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad you did a recap! great to see what you have achieved over the year. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your finishes, but of course Ballerinas is my all-time favourite :D Glad you got the scant seam allowance figured out - my s.a. 's are very inconsistent :D
ReplyDeleteYou had no 'failure' months in my eyes! You are too hard on yourself!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your paint drip quilt.
ReplyDeleteI must agree with Granny Maud's Girl. WE can't label any of your months as a failure. You have so many beautiful makes in 2014. I love your style and I am looking forward to seeing what you will accomplish in this new year! I, too, was working this past week on a project that required me to watch my 1/4" seams and have now moved my needle. Hoping for better results now. Happy 2015, Vera!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful projects! I have to admit I chuckled a little at your recap when I saw "failure". I had a few of those months myself last year. It is good to know we can have a little failure in our lives and still be super cool! Over all it was a great year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautifully productive year! Gorgeousness from start to finish.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on all the finishes. I love the dripping paint. Your pictures are really interesting too.
ReplyDeleteBravo! Looks like an amazing year of beautiful work to me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous year of finishes! Everything that you make is so beautiful and striking!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what is ahead in 2015!!

Beautiful work last year, I plan to start a lovely year of finishes in Februrary (missed the deadline for Jan) and I think this is a really neat way to recap rather than posting everything you've made all year.
