Paper Piecing Party
Maybe some of you know I'm not a huge fan of paper piecing but there is a party and I want to be there, lol.
I paper pieced the bird but I did not the other parts as I wanted to try it that way. I just like to do things my way, I guess. The size of wreath is perfect for jelly roll strip and that is exactly what I used.
I'll square that up once quilted. The pattern is by Kristy @ Quiet Play and you can find it in her shop.
If you made anything paper pieced this week, join the party @ Quilt Art Designs. You'll find many original patterns there as well.

it is sweet Vera! I have that pattern too but I am not so much into paper piecing either!
ReplyDeleteLOL - I'll join YOUR party - partial paper piecing looks like fun, and I also have that pattern. I bought it when you shared it another time. I'm going to have to make one asap!
ReplyDeleteLove it. I could make one of these and add it to my friend's Christmas quilt!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute! What a sweet block, Vera!
ReplyDeleteVery nice Vera. I love paper-piecing. I find it relaxing to stitch along lines when I am tired or just have a spare 20 minutes. Your Robin is perfect as is your patched wreath.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet wreath! I'm also already thinking about Christmas, so this is a great project to have on my radar screen. Thx!
ReplyDeleteYour birdy blocks are adorable! I tried paper piecing again this month (I used to do it almost exclusively) and was surprised to find that I didn't enjoy it any more - I did one block with 5 sub-sections and the angles were very acute (plus my fabric shifted a bit) so I came up short in one of the seam allowances ... then the fabric shredded so it did NOT go well. I think I'll stick to piecing the regular (but less accurate, for me, LOL) way :D
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Of course you are up for a party, haha! The bird turned out great. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable block in these fabrics!! I love it! Cheep Cheep!!
