Bit by bit
My twenty scraps became twenty hexies. I'm loving those colors but I haven't played with layouts yet. I'm just enjoying this pretty little pile for a while.
I have also started quilting my scrappy pouch.
Matchstick quilting is great for small projects.
Since I have yellow in my machine I have also quilted yellow part on Darth Vader mug rug.
That is pretty much it. I'm taking it bit by bit.

Great progress. I love your rainbows and would enjoy looking at the hexies for a while, too.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy looking at your beautiful hexies.
ReplyDeleteOh they are pretty hexies - definitely worth having out just to play with while they work out what they want to be!
ReplyDeleteYou always have the prettiest colored scraps :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing them with Oh Scrap!
Maybe when you have a hexie layout idea it will spur me on to figure out what to do with all the hexies I have basted this week. Maybe!
ReplyDeleteI love it when you are sewing with rainbow colours - it is always so inspirational. 💟
ReplyDeleteI like the way your quilting is going, quite miminalist with lots of negative open space. I too love straight line quilting, lots of fussy stitching isn't for me.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are having fun! Off to check out your hexis'....
ReplyDeleteyou are so inspiring! I love that matchstick quilting - the way you continued the quilting with the yellow thread to the top and bottom.
ReplyDeleteYour photos of your projects are gorgeous Vera! They really show off the colors and textures of your work, which I always love.
ReplyDeleteLovely - really like your colourful hexies too!
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing "bits" - and I can't even tell you how much I love matchstick quilting - you always pick such perfect places to use it :D
