My latest obsession started with bag of leather scraps I was given by a friend. I never had an intention to work with leather. Then I came across The Easiest SAL ever where the goal was to use what you got in your stash and try something new. Well I followed the instructions and came up with few pouches embellished with leather scraps (you can spot those in my header). I love it. Piece of leather takes it to the next level. Fun rhyme but true. This paper boat is the latest. I wasn't happy with the outcome at first. The print I picked is too big and directional so no good. I actually liked the back side of it better but I tried to fix it with some hand stitches and it helped. I got the inspiration from an image I saw on pinterest.
Before the hand stitching addition and the back side. |
Part of my obsession is to make matching zipper pulls. |
I used piece of scotch tape to cover the foot while sewing over the leather piece.
I have also finished LOVE circle pillow cover as part of Modern Mini Quilt Challenge. You can read more about it in my previous post.
