Finally a progress

If you are curious about the quilting stage of my two experiments, here are some pics just for you.

Since I had white thread in I started with the Christmas one. I added a bit of FMQ. I was going for little bubbles but truly I couldn't see where I was going. So there is some quilting in there :)

It is really hard to photograph. Just imagine my usual anyhow style.

There are only straight lines on the back.

The tiny size looks so cute.

And finally I have changed the thread to grey. I took deep breath a added the quilting to my first experiment as well.

Not so visible is it?

Here is the back side to show up the quilting a bit more.

How long does it take to bind those two? Who knows :)

Quilting is more fun than Housework

  1. I really like how economically you work by having multiple projects and sticking with the project that matches your bobbin thread. All the quilting details look great, but I especially like how the "STAY" looks on the back.

  2. Two great projects! Even though the quilting doesn't show much, the texture it produces is lovely! Nice job!!

Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!

  3. on this occasion Vera, your rear is as good as your front!!

  4. They look great - you're having fun! I love that kind of dense, organic quilting - the stitches on the front may not be very noticeable, but like Cynthia said, it does give the project really cool texture :D

  5. Your tiny triangles are matched up so perfectly, you make me drool! I'm very anxious to see what the strip block(s) will look like finished. You do such good work!

  6. I love all three projects but I have to say that your points are perfectly matched on the triangles.

  7. Your quilting is a wonderful compliment to the designs.
