I'm sure many of you know Yvonne aka Quilting Jetgirl. She is such a nice and prolific blogger. When she put out call for blocks I knew I want to contribute as well. She even made tutorial.
It took me a while since having options is harder than making 10" square block.
Today I stopped procrastinating and started with this improve piece inspired by piano block.
I used ballerina print for the second one. Honestly it wasn't easy even though these are simple blocks. This is not my usual color pallet. It is funny how challenging is to make something out of our comfort zone.
Both blocks are totally out of proportion but I leave to Yvonne to size them down. I hope the kids will like it and I'm quite curious what the final quilt will look like.
If you don't know Yvonne, check her out as she just published new pattern and it is fab!
For fun I took the Kona Color Personality test. As I like the result I decided to share :)
*update: Here is the link for the test.
Happy Easter everyone!
Your blocks are great, Vera!! Love the improv piano keys and the fussy cut ballerina :) I want to take the Kona test - where can I find it? I did a quick search, it didn't come up. . . please share. I might share my results. . . if they are as good as yours! LOL
ReplyDeleteOh wow, Vera, thank you so very much. I love both blocks and I know the kids are going to be so excited when I share with them that they came from all over the world. Thank you so much for your generosity. :) *mwah*!
ReplyDeleteThose blocks will look great with the rest of them! I love how similar your ballerina block is to the mermaid block I sent! It's like we planned it ;-)
