Here is my second entry for the Blogger's quilt festival. I decided to go for hand quilted category. As some of you know this quilt was in progress for a long time. I finally finished it and there is some hand quilting included.
I quilted around each ballerina, house and pinwheel. You can read about the quilting here. The original post can be found here and some progress shots here.
There are 8 houses and 8 pinwheels as it was Bday gift for my 8 year old.
Enjoy the festival!
A good choice for the BQF, good luck!
ReplyDeleteWha t a fun quilt - and photo collection! Your daughter seems pretty happy about her new quilt which must be very satisfying.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful quilt but the thing I love most about is the smile on your daughter's face in the pictures! Good luck in the festival, Vera! :)

ReplyDeleteOh, great choice and category for your second entry, Vera. This is such a sweet quilt, and I love all the photos of it being snuggled with. :)

ReplyDeleteWhat a nice quilt ... lovely colors, too.
ReplyDeletethis is one of my favourite Vera quilts, it could be because your daughter is having such fun
ReplyDeleteHA this is the perfect entry for that category - this is one of my favourite quilts ever, because I cheered it on, because of the story behind it - and like another poster mentions, because of the smile on your daughter's face!
ReplyDeleteI love this one every time I see it. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteSooo lovely! Your hand quilting is astoundingly gorgeous. It looks like it's much appreciated :)
